Our junior garden club set up a second Earth Box today for our newly sprouted tomato plants.
Garden Club
Tea party!
We enjoyed our last tea party so much, we had another one! The mint tea sure is tasty!
Starting up our Indoor Garden
Mulching the garden
Today the Junior Gardening Club diverted two large bags of leaves from the landfill. The leaves were used to mulch the beds and planters. This mulch will help shelter our tulip and garlic bulbs from extreme temperatures. Over time, the leaves will break down and add precious organic material to the soil. Win, win, win!
We also checked in on the lettuce, radishes, spinach and arugula in our cold frame.
A Cup of Tea
The Senior Gardening Club enjoyed a warm cup of mint tea made from the mint that we dried from the garden!
